What is this CE course all about?
As dentocentric practices evolve beyond treating just teeth, recognition of treatment protocols and payment for medical-in-nature services provided by dentists are incorporated into everyday practice. Perhaps the most important of these services centers around the connection of the oral cavity and the upper airway.
Dentists play a critical role in helping people with airway issues. When treating such medical-in-nature problems, the dental practice must be prepared for the intersection of clinical workflow and medical insurance to achieve a successful clinical and financial treatment outcome.

Medical Billing in the Airway Centered Practice

Dr. Chris Farrugia is a nationally recognized speaker, teacher, and leader in the areas of medical billing and digital dentistry. An early adopter of digital CAD/CAM technology, Dr. Farrugia added CT to his practice in 2011. He then spent two years developing, implementing, and mastering medical billing protocols for services rendered in his practice. This culminated in 2013 with the completion of the first book in his five-part Successful Medical Billing series.
Since then, Dr. Farrugia has been a speaker or featured presenter at numerous events and meetings across the country. He teaches dentists nationwide who want to advance their practices with CAD/CAM digital restorative techniques and digital imaging while successfully accessing medical benefits for their services. Dr. Farrugia is a diplomate of the American Board of Sleep and Breathing and is the past medical director of Pensacola Imaging. He currently practices digital restorative dentistry, TMD, and dental sleep medicine in Destin, Florida.
