COURSE DESCRIPTION
Overview of normal craniofacial growth and development in infant and children. Realize the factors in Western culture have contributed to the underdevelopment of the craniofacial complex. Understand the role of restricted oral tissues, palatal expansion, myofunctional therapy and nasal breathing have on proper growth and development. Begin to identify signs and symptoms of Sleep Disordered Breathing in children which can lead to Obstructive Sleep Apnea in adults.

- Understand the dental clues of underdevelopment that relate to Sleep Disordered Breathing
