There’s no way I can practice dentistry in the same way.

Dr. Mona Curran on Revolutionizing Dentistry Forever

This week on Vivos Voices, we visited with Dr. Mona Curran, an experienced dentist and passionate Vivos Integrated Provider (VIP).

After practicing in public health for almost 20 years, Dr. Curran noticed several commonalities between her pediatric patients. This included a high, vaulted palette, frequent bedwetting, night terrors, crooked teeth, an underdeveloped jaw, poor behavior, and more. Wanting to solve this problem and find a better way to treat her patients, Dr. Curran began attending Vivos educational courses to discover how sleep and airway relate to dentistry, development, and the entire human body.

After learning more, “I knew that we as dentists can really make a difference in patients’ lives,” shares Dr. Curran. “Knowing what I know now from what Vivos has presented in their educational classes, there’s no way I can practice dentistry in the same way [as before] because I know there is a better way to fix and improve someone’s quality of life that didn’t exist before.”

The team at Vivos Therapeutics, Inc. firmly believes that we are in the field of saving lives. The sleep epidemic worldwide is on the rise, and it’s the responsibility of dentists and other healthcare providers to take note and educate themselves, their team, and their patients, then set individuals on the right path to lasting, effective treatment.

“I think that advances in science and technology are amazing and we should all learn about what’s available and try to implement it as soon as we can,” explains Dr. Curran. “We are privileged to be able to be exposed and actually be able to implement [sleep and airway dentistry] in our practices.”

I’m Dr. Mona Curran. I graduated from University of North Carolina in 2001. I’ve been practicing for almost 20 years in public health, working mostly with children. Well, after learning from Vivos classes what sleep quality or lack of quality does to the overall health, I knew that we as dentists can really make a difference in patient’s life. I, I am very pleased, and I can tell that Vivos is a very organized company. They hire the best people, and I’ve never had such a good experience in any CE class I’ve taken so far. Knowing what I know now from what Vivos has presented in their educational classes, there’s no way I can practice dentistry the same way because I know there is a better way to fix and improve somebody’s quality of life that didn’t exist before. I think the advances in science and technology are amazing, and we should all learn about what’s available and try to implement it as soon as we can. It’s something that it’s worth pursuing because I think it’s very valuable information, and we are privileged to be able to be exposed and actually being able to implement it in our practices.
