Dr. Sandhya Krishan on Discovering Her Passion and Purpose with Vivos

This week on Vivos Voices, we visited with Dr. Sandhya Krishan, a talented airway dentist and trained Vivos Integrated Provider (VIP).

Like so many providers, Dr. Krishan realized that airway dentistry and a holistic approach to healthcare are essential to modern-day medicine. “You cannot ignore airway while practicing anymore,” she explains. She describes how many patients present with the same signs and symptoms and are open to conversation about their overall well-being, sleep, and breathing.

“I get excited [when I talk to patients about this] because that’s when I can say, ‘Oh my gosh, let me tell you what I wasn’t taught in dental school which we are now learning,’ and it’s completely changed the way I practice,” Dr. Krishan shares. “It’s super rewarding and fulfilling to me because I feel like I’m actually making a difference in educating my patients and empowering them so that they can make the right choices for themselves, moving forward.”

As for her experience with Vivos Therapeutics, Inc., “The amount of support and camaraderie that you get with the Vivos team [is unparalleled]. Proximity is power, and so you gotta put yourself in proximity with other people that keep you on your toes and keep the learning and the excitement and the passion going, which I think is priceless.”

“With Vivos, it feels like I’m making a life difference. I’m making a complete impact, and that’s rejuvenated my passion for dentistry like nothing else that I’ve ever implemented in my practice,” Dr. Krishan shares. “I feel like I don’t even want to retire because this is something I can keep doing and be excited about doing. I love it. If I can put up the hand piece and just do this full time, that’s my game plan.”

One of the most common issues that I see when I’m treating my patients is the connection of their overall wellness and their breathing and how it pertains to dentistry. And that’s when I get excited because that’s when I can say, ‘oh my gosh, let me tell you what I wasn’t taught in dental school, which we are now learning. And it’s completely changed the way I practice.’ It’s super rewarding and fulfilling to me because I feel like I’m actually making a difference in educating my patients. What I have seen, like I have seen in no other, um, group or, or organization that I’ve been a part of before, is the amount of support and camaraderie that you get with the Vivos team. I have learned this from somebody else. Proximity is power. And so, you’ve got to put yourself in proximity with other people, um, that keep you, uh, on your toes and keep the learning and the excitement and the passion going, which I, I think is priceless. Um, if I can put up the hand-piece and just do this full-time, that’s, that’s my game plan.
