“I’m tired of putting Band-Aids over wounds. I’d rather get to the root problem, and Vivos allows me to do that.”

Dr. Ryan Roberson on Tiring of Traditional Dentistry
For Dr. Roberson, he’s been involved in airway dentistry and sleep-disorder treatment for over a decade. When he heard about Vivos and their revolutionary devices, he knew he had to implement them into his practice. “Since becoming a Vivos provider, it’s changed my practice. People are coming to me, and I’m asking them a lot of different questions than I used to. People come to me with chipped teeth, broken teeth, and they’re used to going to dentists [who] say, ‘We’re going to crown it. We’re going to veneer it.’ [Instead] I started asking them questions about how they sleep.”
The great thing about our team is that we teach you how to not only implement The Vivos Treatment into your practice but also recognize the signs and symptoms of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and individuals who are sleeping and breathing insufficiently. By understanding the difference between a healthy and unhealthy patient and being able to ask the right questions, we can determine the best therapy possible.
“These are conversations that people don’t normally have when they go to a dentist. You see light bulbs going off in the eyes,” shared Dr. Roberson. Once the patient is educated on their condition, it’s a no-brainer. With disruptions in breathing interrupting sleep, the organs and organ systems will lack the sufficient oxygen levels required to repair themselves and function properly. Oxygen is essential for life. And sleep apnea is an epidemic that must be addressed.
“It’s great, and if you create a beautiful smile, that’s just hiding and masking an underlying issue. I haven’t really helped that individual. I’ve just covered it up. It’s just another Band-Aid, and I’m tired of putting Band-Aids over wounds. I’d rather get to the root problem, and Vivos allows me to do that.”
