Because it’s changed my child’s life, why can’t it change yours?

Kim Isaacson on Her Favorite Vivos Patient

This week on Vivos Voices, we visited with Kim Isaacson, a qualified lead dental assistant and passionate Vivos Integrated Provider (VIP).

For Kim, Vivos hits close to home, as her son Michael is currently undergoing treatment. “He was kind of at the forefront of all of this. We started Vivos, and Dr. Hale got affiliated, and we were like, ‘Oh my gosh, Michael. Michael is it.’”

Like many children suffering from an underdeveloped airway, her son exhibited the classic signs and symptoms, including grinding, clenching, snoring, enlarged tonsils, and behavioral issues. A specialist suggested he have his tonsils removed to see if that allowed him enough space in the airway to get better sleep; despite following through with the procedure, Kim saw no improvement in Michael. “It was all like, ‘Oh, it’s just his tonsils, it’s just his tonsils.’ We got his tonsils removed; nothing changed. But with Vivos, he’s a new child,” she shared with a smile.

“You raise this child, and you’re like, ‘This is what’s wrong with him, this is Michael,’ and now I don’t even consider those things. Those are in the past. He no longer grinds. He wakes up in the morning and he’s happy. He’s ready to go. He doesn’t sleep as much as he used to. He is doing well in school, doesn’t have to get kicked out of daycare like he’s been. He doesn’t have those issues.” It’s amazing what proper sleep and oxygenation can do for an individual. For many parents, there is new hope for their child suffering from ADD and ADHD, bedwetting, behavioral issues, bruxism, crossbite, and more, as an underdeveloped airway could be partially to blame.

When asked about her advice to other parents, Kim shared this: “Because it’s changed my child’s life, why can’t it change yours?”

Well, my name is Kimberly Isaacson. I’m the lead dental assistant at New Teeth Dental Solutions in League City, Texas. A Vivos patient that really drives me, and I get excited about on the daily, is someone that I live with—my child. Um, this is, he was kind of the forefront of all of this. We started Vivos, and Dr. Hale got affiliated, and we were like, ‘oh my gosh, Michael.’ That, Michael, is it. He was the classic kid of grinding, clenching, snoring, tonsils needed to be removed, behavior issues in school, borderline ADHD to where we considered getting him on medication. And, it was all like, oh it’s fine, it’s just his tonsils, it’s just his tonsils, whatever. We got his tonsils removed, nothing changed. With Vivos, he’s a new child. He’s not even the same child that I met when I had him, you know. You raise this child, and you’re like, this is what’s wrong with him, this is Michael, and now I don’t even consider those things. Those are in the past. So, he no longer grinds. He wakes up in the morning, and he’s happy. Like, he’s ready to go. He doesn’t sleep as much as he used to. He’s doing well in school, doesn’t have the getting kicked out of daycare like he’s been. He doesn’t have those issues. If anything, they’re saying that we need to challenge him more. And, with Vivos, when it hits close to home, that’s when you really realize the potential that it has. Because it’s changed my child’s life, why can’t it change yours? That is one patient that is forever going to have me excited about it.
