“My purpose in life is to make good memories with my family, and the way that I’m able to make those good memories with my family is to have the energy and have the love of life to do it, and the vitality.”

Dr. Johansen on Her Purpose in Life

This week on Vivos Voices, we visited with Dr. Brittany Johansen, an excellent general dentist and a trained Vivos Integrated Provider (VIP).

“[I] started treating airway patients a couple of years ago, and ever since I started treating them, I can’t unsee it.” That is the key to the essential education provided by our team at The Vivos Institute: to change the way dentists, doctors, and other healthcare professionals view the connection between sleep, airway, and a host of comorbidities.

“Really, all of my patients are treated, at least screened for airway disorders. I look for just the specific markers that kind of show airway disorders, and then I just sit and talk with them. And it’s really interesting because a lot of people just had no idea that this was all interrelated.”

Once you discover the critical indicators of an issue with the airway—a high, vaulted palette, bruxism, misalignment, and underdeveloped jaw, TMJ, etc.—you will be able to offer your patients a better future.

Hi, I’m Brittany Johansen. I’m a dentist, and I’m a Vivos provider in the great state of Utah. I started treating patients, airway patients a couple years ago, and ever since I started treating them, I can’t unsee it. Uh, so I see it everywhere. Really, all of my patients are treated, um, at least screened for airway disorders. I look for just the specific markers that kind of show airway disorders, and then I just sit and talk with them, and it’s really interesting because a lot of people just had no idea that this was, uh, all interrelated. But then when you start talking to them, it’s just really intuitive, and it makes sense, and they’re like yeah, I would love to have a better quality of life by getting better sleep. I find that you can improve many aspects of life by improving sleep. Our brains need it for the immune system function, the memory function, the hormone release, and everything else like that. Um, a lot of parents that I’ve talked to, they will move mountains for their kids, but they don’t know how to. They don’t know where to start. I would recommend the Vivos treatment to, to anybody—my, my best friend, someone that I don’t like, anybody in between. Um, I think that everyone can, can benefit from it. And when I have a good night’s sleep with things, I just feel so rejuvenated. And my purpose in life is to make good memories with my family, and the way that I’m able to make those good memories with my family is to have the energy and to have, have the, um, the love of life to do it, and to have that, that vitality. I think Vivos would bring that vitality into anybody’s life, um, by, by helping with those airways. Some may be more drastic than others, um, but everyone can see an improvement by getting better sleep at night.
