“My purpose in life is to make good memories with my family, and the way that I’m able to make those good memories with my family is to have the energy and have the love of life to do it, and the vitality.”

Dr. Johansen on Her Purpose in Life

This week on Vivos Voices, we visited with Dr. Brittany Johansen, an excellent general dentist and a trained Vivos Integrated Provider (VIP).

“[I] started treating airway patients a couple of years ago, and ever since I started treating them, I can’t unsee it.” That is the key to the essential education provided by our team at The Vivos Institute: to change the way dentists, doctors, and other healthcare professionals view the connection between sleep, airway, and a host of comorbidities.

“Really, all of my patients are treated, at least screened for airway disorders. I look for just the specific markers that kind of show airway disorders, and then I just sit and talk with them. And it’s really interesting because a lot of people just had no idea that this was all interrelated.”

Once you discover the critical indicators of an issue with the airway—a high, vaulted palette, bruxism, misalignment, and underdeveloped jaw, TMJ, etc.—you will be able to offer your patients a better future.
