Dr. Elizabeth Tran on Doing More for Patients

This week on Vivos Voices, we visited with Dr. Elizabeth Tran, a talented dentist and passionate Vivos Integrated Provider (VIP).

Dr. Tran discovered Vivos Therapeutics, Inc. during the pandemic and decided to participate in a CE Summit. “I’m just one of those people that likes to always venture out and learn about new things,” she shared. “[Especially] when it impacts your own personal life, then you always have a passion for it. So sleep has always been my passion.”

The webinars explored sleep and airway and their impact on an individual’s overall health and wellbeing. “I was just like, like jaw-dropping. And I was like, ‘Oh my god, this is the answer to everything I want to do.’ It’s amazing to finally realize and connect the link. You can do much more than just filling and drilling,” shared Dr. Tran.

She was her own first patient and has seen significant improvement in her quality of sleep, mental state, and overall physical wellbeing. “If I don’t know anything [about sleep apnea], in the future [I could be] diagnosed with high blood pressure, being diabetic, having a big, gigantic tummy, not understanding. And now you realize, wait a minute, it’s sleep. It’s all sleep.” With The Vivos Method, Dr. Tran has found a new quality of life, and she is eager to extend this opportunity to her patients.

“The answers are there for you. I would highly recommend it,” shared Dr. Tran. “And I would actually urge all my colleagues to research out and really learn.”

My name is Dr. Elizabeth Tran. Um, I actually own three practice. Two in Santa Ana and one in La Habra. I actually heard about Vivos, um, during covid. But prior to covid, before it was, I guess it’s just meant to be. I’m just one of those people that like to always venture out and learn about new things., and when it impacts your own personal life, then you always you have a passion for it. So sleep has always been my passion, and when I attended the, uh, I think it was like two or three-day summit on a webinar, I was just like, like jaw-dropping. And I was like, oh my god, this is the answer to everything I want to do. It’s amazing to finally realize and connect the link. Go hey, you know you can spot a person’s problems, but look at their teeth, and you can do much more than just filling and drilling. And here I am. I want to treat myself because you want to know something. I have it, and ten years ago or maybe 15 years ago, when I first learned about sleep apnea, I got tested. They go, my AHI was three, and they said that, oh you just have mild. It’s really nothing, but you have upper restriction in your upper airway. I go, okay, I didn’t know anything. I’m okay, what’s that? So I guess I snore because I have obstructions, so that’s okay, that’s normal. Lo and behold, now you go, okay, this is it. I have sleep apnea. No one told me about this. I probably gonna go down if I, if I don’t know anything, down in the future being diagnosed with high blood pressure, being diabetic, having a big gigantic tummy, not understanding why tripod may blame it on pregnancy. And now you realize, wait a minute, it’s sleep. It’s all sleep. Why don’t someone just step up and help us? Um, I’m very excited. I’m very passionate about this. I, I believe it worked, and I really truly believe that all of my colleagues should be given this opportunity. Support for Vivos team, they’re actually nice, okay. They understand when you’re up there, you’re telling me I have no clue what I’m doing. They’ll walk you through. I love my clinical advisor, but what’s nice is that when you ask, the answers are there for you. I would highly recommend it. And I would actually urge all my colleagues to, to research out and really learn, uh, the technology’s there. The research is there.
